The sprays are designed to be used purely in the Aura and NOT on the skin. The oils are well diluted in water so only small amounts of essential oils will ever come into contact with the skin. It is nevertheless sensible to be cautious when using each spray for the first time. Just test a little to start with and then wait a few hours to check there are no adverse reactions. This is especially important if you have sensitive skin or any health issues. Always shake the spray well before use and avoid the eyes/face/mucous membranes. The following is a list of conditions where certain oils are either contra-indicated or should just be used with caution by some individuals. We would point out however that these precautions are primarily applicable when oils are used in direct contact with the skin ie in massage blends. If you have any concerns at all, or questions about whether or not a particular spray is safe for you to use then please do get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Most sprays now contain PEG 40 Castor Oil and the preservative Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin. If you have any questions about these products please get in touch.

Any oil can cause irritation in some individuals, however, the following oils in particular may cause sensitisation: Pine, Black Pepper, Basil, Sweet Orange, Peppermint, Melissa, Lemongrass, Roman Chamomile, Lemon, Ginger, Geranium, Eucalyptus, Benzoin & Cinnamon - if you have sensitive skin we recommend that you do a patch test first by putting a very small amount on the inside of your elbow. If there is no reaction after 24 hours it should be fine to use the spray.
Also please note that citrus oils can cause photo-toxicity. This means there is a possibility of sensitisation and pigmentation if they get onto skin exposed to sunlight. As mentioned above, very little, if any, of the spray should get onto your skin anyway and, as it is well diluted too, this risk is extremely low. However we are obliged to make you aware of it. The Lime, Jade, Silver, Rose Gold, Flame, Sunrise, Midnight Indigo, Emerald, Bluebell Bridge, White, Hope, Cosmos, Air Elemental, Archangel Raphael, Rainbow Ray and Archangel Gabriel sprays contain citrus oils.
PLEASE NOTE: SPRAYS CONTAIN A SMALL AMOUNT OF ALCOHOL. Other ingredients are Harrogate Spring Water & Pure Essential Oils
